DIY Testing of IoTfiers AquaAunty- Water Level Indicator before Installation

First of all, before installation check How IoTfiers AquaAunty Water Level Indicator (Model 1A_0016) works:

Material required before checking :
1. 5 SS Sensors
2. A screw driver
3. Indicator Device
4. A glass of water (Do not use RO water)

Steps
1. Connect the 220V Ac supply at Input terminals
2. Keep the alarm switch on Top Alarm On position
3. Connect Yellow sensor at L0 and dip it in water —This is common sensor so no Led will glow at this time
4. Connect Green sensor at L1 and dip it in water — 1st Led (25% level) will glow)
5. Connect Blue sensor at L2 and dip it in water — 2nd Led (50% level) will glow
6. Connect Red sensor at L3 and dip it in water — 3rd Led (75% level) will glow
7. Connect Black sensor at L3 and dip it in water — 4th Led (100% level) will glow and Top level alarm will start.

Steps to install IoTfiers AquaAunty Water Level Indicator

Description

IoTfiers  Water level indicator helps you to monitor your tank water level and inform when the tank level is low or full hence make informed decision when to turn ON and OFF the motor.

  1. The Power ON indicator indicates whether device is ON or OFF.
  2. Unscrew the connectors to make sensor and supply connections
  3. Switch to turn OFF Top Level (100 %) Alarm. Turn the switch at this position when tank is Full and when you switch OFF the motor
  4. Switch to turn ON the Top Level (100%) Alarm. Turn the switch at this position when you switch ON the motor.

The four LED’s indicates the current water level of water tank

Steps to install AquaAunty:

  1. Measure the depth of the water tank by inserting the yellow sensor in it & mark it on yellow wire with a black tape
  2. Now join the Green sensor at 25% level, Blue sensor at 50% level, Red sensor at 75% level and black at 100% level (below the black tape) using small wire ties provided in the box.
  3. Now clip the extra part of wire ties and put this arrangement in the tank. To give proper support to this bundle of wires, tie it to a nearby pipeline using bigger wire ties.
  4. Extend these sensor wires from overhead tank to device using a 5 core Signal wire . Alternatively if this wire is not available then you can use CAT6 (LAN wire) or CCTV wire or simple 5 core flexible electrical wire.
  5. Now Mount the device on the wall.
  6. Unscrew the Connectors and make the connections as described in installation circuit. Finally screw the connectors tightly.

Note: It is recommended to connect the Live wire to AquaAunty device through a switch.

Warning: Installation involves some connections which operate at 220V AC and should be done by electrician or trained personnel only

Which type of wire can be used for extending sensor wire?

You can extend these sensor wires from overhead tank to device using a 5 core Sensor wire (Preferable) . Alternatively if this wire is not available then you can use CAT6 (LAN wire) or CCTV wire or simple 5 core flexible electrical wire. Please make sure sensor wire is away from any power (AC cable) as it may hinder with its operation.

How long we can extend sensor wire?

With SS sensors you can easily extend wire upto 100 feet (30-35 metres). In case your wire is more than 40 metres we recommend to use Magnetic float sensors instead of SS sensors for better reliability

Can I give DC power supply to AquaAunty device?

The water level indicator with tank full alarm is designed for input 220V AC supply so you should not connect DC supply

Is the product repairable even after warranty?

In case your product is damaged after 6 months, Don’t worry the product is made in India and completely repairable. What is the life of Stainless Steel (SS) sensors for tank level?

These SS sensors are made up of SS 304 so they do not corrode and hence ensure long life. However due to oxidation in some areas they may require periodic cleaning. Generally the period of cleaning sensors varies from 2 months to 8 months depending on quality of water. In case you need maintenance free operation you can go for magnetic float sensors for maintenance free operation

How many sensors are mandatory for satisfactory operation?

AquaAunty has 4 levels of water level indication which require 5 sensors to be connected in the tank.

  1. Yellow Sensor – 0 % level – Common sensor
  2. Green Sensor – 25 % level – 1st Led
  3. Blue Sensor – 50 % level – 2nd Led
  4. Red Sensor – 75 % level – 3rd Led
  5. Black Sensor – 100 % level – 4th Led & top level alarm ON

In case you don’t have 5 wires for extension you may skip Green or Blue or Red sensor. Yellow and Black sensors are mandatory for its operation. Please note that corresponding LED will not work if you have skipped any sensor

Can I use AquaAunty to indicate level of sump tank?

AquaAunty- Water level Indicator with tank full Alarm  has 4 levels of indication which can be used to indicate water level of any type of water tank.
